If you have any questions which are not answered here, please contact us.
1. Are there any downloads required to use Website Builder?
No. Since Website Builder is accessed through your web browser, there is no need to download any software on to your computer. The only thing you may need is the Macromedia Flash plug-in which comes integrated as part of most common browsers anyway.
Website Builder works best in Internet Explorer version 5 + but can also be used in most other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape, via a standard internet connection (eg. dialup, broadband).
2. Can I change my Website Builder package?
You may upgrade your package at any time; the cost is calculated on the price difference between your original package and the package you wish to upgrade to, adjusted for the number of months remaining in your subscription.
Eg. Value package ($144) upgrade to Standard package ($219) with 8 months remaining on subscription:
New package $219 multiply by 8/12 months = $146.00
Old package $144 multiply by 8/12 months = $96.00
Cost to upgrade: $146.00 less $96.00 = $50.00
Please note downgrades can not be processed. This is in order to ensure compatibility with packages with lesser feature sets. In most cases, downgrading from a high package to a smaller package would cause issues of incompatibility with features not present in the lesser package.
3. Can I edit my website using Website Builder after I publish my website?
You can edit your website any time you wish, as many times as you wish. For the changes to be reflected online, you will have to publish the website every time you make changes.
4. Can I import an existing website into Website Builder, and edit it?
No, this is currently not possible. For complete compatibility, it is important that the websites are fully created only using Website Builder. You can however, start designing a new site using Website Builder and cut and paste the content from the earlier website.
5. Can I preview the templates before ordering Website Builder?
Yes, these may be viewed in our test drive demonstration, and you can also request a free 30 day trial before you order.
The free trial lets you test every function of Website Builder and allows you to save your work but does not permit publishing of files. When you order the service, any work you have saved during the trial becomes available to publish.
6. Is it possible to create Forms like feedback form, registration form etc?
Yes. You can either create a custom form in a matter of minutes or simply incorporate a readymade feedback form as part of your website.
7. Is there a way for me to activate my site only when it is ready for visitors to view it?
As long as you do not 'Publish' the website, all the website files will only be saved as part of the design area of the website building tool. Only after you publish will the website be available for visitors on the Internet.
8. Once the website has been published, can I make direct changes to the HTML code without using Website Builder?
Yes, but the next time that particular section/page of the website is published using the website builder, all such modifications will be overwritten.
9. Which payment gateways are integrated with the shop pages?
Website Builder supports integration of the shop pages with four payment gateways - PayPal, 2Checkout, VeriSign and Authorize.net. You can also have the payment details emailed to you for processing offline.
10. How does Website Builder publish my website?
Website Builder publishes your website using the FTP host address, initial remote directory, username and password provided for your web hosting service. These settings are automatically saved when we set up your account.
Website Builder will publish to any of the following homepage files:
index.htm
index.html
default.htm
default.html
11. What is web hosting?
Web hosting is the act of renting space and bandwidth through a provider company so that your website may be accessed via the internet. Hosting is also used to provide emails, ftp and database facilities for your domain name.
Website Builder packages include web hosting.
12. My domain name is currently hosted somewhere else, how do I transfer it to you?
Your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain name) should have a section on their website where you can do this.
When you registered your domain name you should have received an account username and/or password from the registrar in order to manage your domain name.
Login to your registrar's website and look for the section where you can update nameserver records.
Remove any nameservers that are currently configured and add the following:
Name Server: ns1.bruns.com.au
Name Server: ns2.bruns.com.au
If you are unsure about transferring your domain we will help you change your nameserver settings for a small fee. |
